Meeting you felt like winning the lottery,

like I had found my person.

Searching for the light,

when it had been there all along.

Your smile warmed my heart

and your jokes made me fall harder.

I never thought I would find you.

I never believed in soulmates.

What a load of crap.

Trusting that one person out there is made just for you?

I have a higher chance of winning the lottery.

Love is pain, just a game to keep us alive.

I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Sometimes, I wish I never even met you.
